This was emphasized by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton on the sidelines of a city tour on Sunday (13/12). The concern of the man who is often called Abah Anton emerged when he saw garbage from visitors to the Tugu Square park scattered around.
"It seems that there needs to be strict sanctions for these litterers so that there is a sense of deterrence. If left like this, it will continue to pollute Malang City, and the citizens of this city (Malang) will continue to litter," Abah Anton growled.
With so many dirty spots in Malang City, it is certainly impossible to rely solely on park officers, in this case the Malang City Cleanliness and Parks Service (DKP) to supervise it. "Community participation is an important part of maintaining this cleanliness," said the PKB politician.
