That was conveyed by the Malang City Police Chief AKBP Singgamata, SIK, Wednesday (30/12) in the 2015 year-end release delivered to the media crew. According to him, with several achievements, his party will not be satisfied, because the challenges in 2016 will certainly be heavier. And several achievements in the decline in crime rates are the result of performance and cooperation between the Police apparatus and all levels of society.

"The community, from the RT level to the sub-district, Malang City Government, TNI and the ranks of the Police in Malang City have so far made a very large contribution in providing criminal information and revealing cases. We will maintain this situation so that it can narrow the room for criminals to move. With preventive, preemptive and repressive measures, various cases have been revealed and the suspects can be arrested," explained the former Lumajang Police Chief, Wednesday (30/12).

If the crime rate in an area decreases, he explained, then the community will feel safe and comfortable in carrying out their activities. Especially for Malang City which is a City of Education, City of Tourism, and City of Industry (Tri Bina Cita_red), a safe situation is very much needed. "This city (Malang) is also a destination for students from various regions in Indonesia, and even from abroad to pursue higher education. So comfort in studying is also needed by them," he explained.

"Malang City Police also fully supports all programs from Malang City Government, especially in creating security and order. Moreover, this is the moment of school holidays and approaching the celebration of New Year 2016, where crime is very prone to occur. We will try our best to keep Malang City safe and conducive," concluded Singgamata. (say/yon)
