Klojen, MC – The current Malang City Police Chief is officially held by AKBP Decky Hendarsono, S.IK who previously served as Batu City Police Chief. Meanwhile, the previous Malang City Police Chief, AKBP Singgamata, S.IK now serves as Head of the SSDM Competency Sub-Division of the National Police Headquarters.
Some of the tasks that the new Malang City Police Chief must carry out include reducing the crime rate for curanmor (motor vehicle theft_ed) and curas (theft with violence_ed). Both cases were successfully reduced quite drastically by the previous Malang City Police Chief.
Regarding this, AKBP Decky admitted that he was ready to continue what was the vision, mission or ideals of the previous Malang City Police Chief. "Motorcycle theft, curas, and curat (aggravated theft_ed) will be one of my priority programs. In essence, I and AKBP Singgamata have the same goal in reducing the crime rate," he said, Thursday (14/1).
Another work program that will also be implemented by this bespectacled man is to improve security and comfort for Malang City residents. Concretely, every few hundred meters of road, officers from the Police will be placed. "In addition to security, we also want the police to be closer to the community," added AKBP Decky.
"Regarding the program, I will go down directly to check whether my instructions are carried out properly by the officers. If there are no officers at the designated place, if necessary I will guard it myself," he said.
This native of Batu City also advised his members to work hard with sincerity, full responsibility, and discipline. This is for optimal service to the community.
