With this committee, it is expected to strengthen and support MCF as a forum for creators who have high creativity. In today's era, the creative economy is at stake in increasingly tight market competition. Malang City, which has great potential in this field, receives full support from the Malang City Government.

This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton to reporters after the inauguration event. He added that in the future his party will provide opportunities in the creative economy sector, such as the world of film, animation, photography and others with the district/city governments in Indonesia.

"In addition, representatives of ASEAN countries will be invited to Malang City in April in the context of the city's 102nd anniversary (Malang). Through this moment we will introduce various creative economic works from Malang City. Thus, there will be mutually beneficial businesses in it," added the man who is often called Abah Anton, Tuesday (16/2).

The PKB politician added that Malang City has a myriad of creative economies that can compete in the MEA era, and that is why the Malang City Government will provide full support for the progress of this sector. "We must be players, not spectators in this MEA so that various potentials must be optimized," said Abah Anton.

Separately, Deputy of Infrastructure of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency, Hari Sungkari said, based on his observations in Malang City, the creative economy in Malang City is not inferior to other cities. In fact, according to him, Malang City has quite a large potential, such as in the fields of animation and film.

If you look at the potential in Indonesia, he said, the potential is very large, and so far many foreigners have come. "Therefore, we must be able to be the host in our own country, and don't let this country be controlled by foreigners, especially for the creative economy sector," Hari emphasized. (say/yon)
