Klojen, MC – After successfully achieving the Child-Friendly City (KLA) predicate in the Madya category in 2015, Malang City is not easily satisfied. Slowly but surely, Malang City is determined to achieve the KLA in the Nindya category in 2016, Thursday (18/2).

The seriousness of Malang City is seen from the Coordination Meeting of KLA and Children's Education Institutions of Malang City which took the theme 'Evaluation of Achievements and Development of Innovative Activities Towards a Child-Friendly City in 2016' which was held in the Majapahit Room of Malang City Hall. This activity was attended directly by the facilitator and evaluator of KLA, Nanang Abdul Chanan.
Head of the Economic, Social and Cultural Division of the Malang City Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), M. Zainuridho, said that this activity is an evaluation of KLA activities which are usually carried out every year with the hope that various innovations can emerge to create a city that is increasingly child-friendly.
"Malang City has indeed achieved the Madya category of Child-Friendly City. In the future, this city (Malang_ed) is expected to improve itself to become a Nindya category Child-Friendly City," explained Zainur, Thursday (18/2).
Unlike the Madya category, which in Indonesia has already been won by 24 cities/regencies, for the Ninya category, there are currently only three cities. The three cities are Surabaya, Denpasar and Solo.
"To be able to achieve the KLA Nindya category is not easy, but we are optimistic with seriousness in working, we are sure that Malang City will achieve it," explained Zainur. (cah/yon)
