Klojen, MC – The East Java X National Karate-Do Institute (Inkanas) Inter-Dojo Karate Championship, the Malang Mayor's Cup, which was first held in Malang City received an enthusiastic response. As many as 500 karate from various regions in East Java competed fiercely at the SMAN Tugu Malang City complex, Saturday (20/2) to Sunday (21/2).

The event organizer, Boni Eko Priambodo expressed his pleasure because he received good enthusiasm from the participants of this karate championship. According to him, this championship is to find the best karateka seeds with a school age base.
'I am pleased with the number of participants who appeared in this championship. From this championship in the future we will net potential athletes to be East Java's mainstay in various championships," explained Boni, Saturday (20/2).
Boni added that this championship was deliberately held in different locations in the East Java region for equality with the hope that more superior karate seeds could be monitored in various corners of East Java.
"Before Malang City, Inkanas also held championships in Kediri, Surabaya, and Jombang. The more championships held, the better it is to increase the athletes' flying hours," explained Boni.
If currently the championship is intended for children of early age and age groups and juniors, in the future the championship will be held for all ages. The hope is that Inkanas can become more cultural in East Java so that when there is a championship at the East Java level it will not be difficult to find outstanding athletes. (cah/yon)
