Lowokwaru, MC – Due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that occurred on Wednesday (17/2), the house of Warianto, a resident of RT 3 RW 3, Dinoyo Village, Lowokwaru District, was badly damaged so that it could no longer be occupied.

After the incident, the Malang City Government through the ranks of the sub-districts, districts, the Malang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), supported by the ranks of the Lowokwaru Koramil and the Lowokwaru Police moved quickly to handle the disaster. Through assistance sourced from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the damage to one of the residents' houses was handled well.
To ensure that the house renovation is going well, Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton visited the homes of his residents who were affected by the disaster and ensured that they had received various assistance, Monday (22/2).
Previously, the Malang City BPBD had provided assistance in the form of two tarpaulin units, one multi-purpose wood stove unit, one set of family kitchen equipment, two mattresses, two mats, two blankets, five sets of canned food, two clothing packages, and six basic food packages to the victim's family.
The man who is familiarly called Abah Anton gave his appreciation for the performance of several related agencies in handling this disaster. "I would like to thank all parties, because without my order, they have handled the disaster experienced by these residents.
In addition to giving condolences to Warianto's family, Abah Anton also promised to immediately dismantle and repair the house of one of his residents. "Don't worry, your house (Warianto_ed) will be repaired. In addition, several important parts of this house, such as the floor, the wooden supports of the house and the MCK (bathing, washing, toilet) facilities are also no longer suitable, so they should be repaired," he added, Monday (22/2).
"For all residents of Malang City, because it is currently the rainy season, you should always be alert to various disasters that can occur at any time such as floods and landslides. One effort that can be done is not to throw garbage into the river and not to cut down trees carelessly," concluded Abah Anton. (say/yon)
