Klojen, MC – Facing the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which is already underway, the Malang City Government continues to strive to improve the wheels of the economy, one of which is by mobilizing young people to appear at the forefront as the main actors in the creative economy.

That was the message conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton when opening the 2016 Hajj and Umrah Expo in Olympic Garden Mall (MOG) Malang, Wednesday (24/2). The man who is usually called Abah Anton admitted that he is sure that the ideas and creativity of young people in Malang City are able to compete with other cities in Indonesia, even abroad.
"With this expo, young people in Malang City may be inspired to run Umrah and Hajj travel agencies like their seniors, of course with more creativity and resilience," added Abah Anton, Wednesday (24/2).
Not only that, the Malang City Government, continued the PKB politician, is currently trying to align Malang City with other cities abroad. One of them is by becoming a host Indonesia Creative Cities Conference (ICCC) in April 2016, where several city representatives from neighboring countries will be present in Bumi Arema (Malang_ed).
"Malang City's participation in event international level is also an effort so that the name of Bumi Arema can be fragrant abroad. We will try our best to realize this," explained Abah Anton.
Also present at the event were the Chairperson of the Malang City PKK TP, Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani, the Head of Blimbing District Drs. Alie Mulyanto, MM, and the Head of the Malang City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office. (say/yon)
