PRC Delegation Amazed by Malang City's Climate

Klojen, MC – Malang City has again attracted the attention of a friendly country, the People's Republic of China (PRC). This time, during their visit to Malang City, the PRC delegation collaborated with the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM) of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang to be able to collaborate in Malang City.

The PRC delegation was received directly by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton in the Malang Mayor's Meeting Room, Thursday (25/2). Also present were the Assistant for Development Administration of the Malang City Secretariat, the Head of the Malang City Agriculture Service, and the Head of the Malang City Health Service.

The purpose and objective of the visit was to improve cooperation between the Malang City Government and the PRC in the agricultural sector. The PRC Open University plans to plant strawberries and blueberry in Malang City because of the good weather and soil structure.

The delegation of eight people consisted of Drs. Masduki, M.Si, Drs. Wiyono, MM as Head of Cooperation Division of DPPM UMM, Hendra Kusuma, SE as Head of UMKM Division of DPPM UMM, Tonny Dian Efendy, S.Sos, M.Si, Pan Hanliang, Senior Engineering Open University PRC, Wan Xiaoming, President of Xiamen Runde Yuan Investment Corporation, Pan Yuxin, Director Laboratory of Tropical Medical Plants Resource, Tropical Corps Genetic Resource Institute, Chinese Academy Of Tropical, and Zheng Guohui, Vice President of Xramen Runde Yuan Investment Corporation.

According to Abah Anton, the nickname of Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton, this cooperation is actually not only in the agricultural sector, but also infrastructure that may be accepted by the PRC. "We do not rule out the possibility that there will be cooperation in other fields later," he explained, Thursday (25/2).

"For cooperation in the herbal field, the PRC will conduct research first and what herbal plants can be developed in Malang City. After that, they will invest in Malang City, and this is extraordinary," added Abah Anton.

Meanwhile, Pan Hanliyang said that his party came to Malang City to learn various things. As for agriculture, he was interested in the climate and soil fertility in Malang City. There are many strange trees growing here. I mean, there are many unique plants that are not found in other areas, including the PRC. (say/yon)
