"I instructed the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) in collaboration with the DKP (Cleanliness and Parks Service) to conduct a justice operation and hold on-site trials for environmental violators (litterers_ed)," said the man who is often called Abah Anton.
The mayor, who has a business background, added that this has the intention that the habit of protecting the environment can become part of the culture in all levels of society.
Following up on the instructions of the Mayor of Malang, during this week until March 7, 2016 and beyond, the Satpol PP and DKP of Malang City have taken firm steps to operate against violators of Malang City Regional Regulation Number 10 of 2010 concerning Waste Management.
The operation focused on the Merdeka Square Park in Malang City with a maximum prison sentence of one week or a fine of IDR 100 thousand.
The Field Commander of Operation Yustisi, Bello, informed that the BAP (Examination Report) was immediately conducted at the location equipped with evidence. During the process, the KTP (Resident Identity Card) or other identity cards of the violators were held by officers. (say/yon)
