Kedungkandang, MC – The Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, inaugurated the Joint Business Entrepreneurship (WUB) for Upstream and Downstream Plastic Waste Management and symbolically planted 10.000 moringa trees on Jl. KH Malik Dalam Gang VI, Kedungkandang Village, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, Thursday (10/3).

This event, which was driven by the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Malang City, is to foster and build the economy of small communities through various MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises_ed), one of which is through the WUB Hulu Hilir Plastic Waste Management.
Meanwhile, regarding the planting of Moringa trees, it will not only be beneficial for health, but also economically and environmentally.
That is what was conveyed by the number one person in the Malang City Government. According to him, through this moringa plant, in addition to being able to be made into food, it can also produce various cosmetic products such as soap, face masks, and herbal oils for massage.
"Thus, Baznas has supported and realized the creative economic movement for the community which in the future is expected to improve the economic level of the residents, especially in the Kedungkandang area," continued the mayor who is familiarly called Abah Anton by his residents.
As is known, he continued, in East Java, Malang City is one of the cities appointed by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry. "This is one of the manifestations of the program, and all levels of society must fully support it," concluded Abah Anton. (say/yon)
