Forum Group Discussions (FGD) entitled 'Optimizing the Role of Youth in Anticipating Deviant Sects and the Dangers of Drugs' at the Sahid Montana 1 Hotel Malang, Tuesday (15/3).

In this seminar, the speakers were Ir. Bambang Suharijadi as the Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City, the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Malang City, and the Head of the Empowerment Division of the Interfaith Harmony Forum Umi Sumbulan, M.Ag.
Expert Staff for Law and Politics of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Dra. Eny Hari Sutiarny, MM revealed that currently there is a lot of deviant sects and drug abuse. For this reason, the Malang City Government continues to educate the public, especially the younger generation so that they do not go astray.
"We deliberately invited young people from the youth organization, the community Malang Creative Fusion (MCF) throughout Malang City in this activity because young people are very vulnerable to being targeted," explained Eny, Tuesday (15/3).
Intentionally, in this activity, speakers from Bakesbangpol, FKUB and BNN Malang City were brought in so that the socialization could take place more effectively. By bringing in these competent experts directly, it is hoped that what is conveyed can further increase the insight of the youth in Malang City.
On this occasion, Bambang Suharijadi discussed a lot about how terrorism has developed in Indonesia since Indonesia was not yet independent until now. The man who is the Head of Bakesbangpol Malang City invited the youth to be more active in paying attention to their surroundings.
"It is very important to ask the needs of new people in an area, one of which is their identity. With strict supervision, it will certainly narrow the room for terrorists to move," said Bambang. (cah/yon)
