Klojen, MC – Focus Group Discussions (FGD) entitled 'Optimizing the Role of Youth in Anticipating Deviant Sects and the Dangers of Drugs' was held by the Malang City Government, Tuesday (15/3). This activity is in the framework of developing support for analysis, considerations and suggestions in the legal and political fields and welcoming the 102nd Anniversary of Malang City in 2016.
The FGD held at the Sahid Montana 1 Hotel in Malang was attended by participants from... Malang Creative Fusion (MCF) and Karang Taruna Kelurahan throughout Malang City, and also attended by Regional Work Units (SKPD) within the Malang City Government.
The event was opened by the Assistant for Development Administration of the Malang City Regional Secretariat, Ir. Budi Herwanto, MT. "In particular, I appreciate the young people who have a high commitment to jointly advance the city of Malang that we love," he said, Tuesday (15/3).
"Growing the creative industry is one of the focuses of increasing income and improving the economic welfare of the community, especially by encouraging young people to increase their creativity," added the bespectacled man.
This activity was continued with the presentation of materials which in this case were delivered by three speakers, namely Dr. Hj. Umi Sumbulah from the Faculty of Medicine, Brawijaya University, Malang, Drs. Bambang Harijadi from the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol) of Malang City, and Basuki Effendy, SH, MH from the National Narcotics Agency of Malang City.
By holding this FGD, it is expected to be a generator of creativity growth in Malang City, especially from the youth. "Related to this, Malang City is also worthy of bearing the big name as a Creative City," concluded Budi. (say/yon)
