Klojen, MC – To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), the Nahdliyin (NU community_ed) held prayers and istighosah with orphans at the Gajayana Stadium, Friday (25/3).
The joint prayer led by KH Luqman Al-Karim or commonly known as Gus Lukman from the Bahrul Magfiroh Islamic Boarding School was attended directly by the Chairperson of PB Muslimat NU Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
Gus Lukman said that the Harlah Muslimat NU moment in Malag City is very important and extraordinary. For that, he invited all parties to help make the entire series of events to commemorate the 70th Harlah Muslimat NU a success.
"Hopefully the commemoration of Harlah Muslimat NU in Malang City can bring more benefits, be blessed by Allah SWT and can run smoothly," hoped Gus Lukman, Friday (25/3).
Meanwhile, Khofifah said that in 2016, the commemoration of Harlah Muslimat NU took the theme 'United to Realize a Peaceful and Prosperous Indonesia'. The 70th Harlah Muslimat NU in Malang City will be attended by 70 thousand members of Muslimat NU, 49 thousand of whom are from East Java.
"We hope that the commemoration of the 70th Harlah (Muslimat NU_ed) in Malang City will be a success, and can inspire the Indonesian people to be more peaceful and prosperous," hoped Khofifah.
In front of the orphans, Khofifah also gave motivation so that they would be willing to train themselves by learning independently to be able to achieve success in the future.
"When I was little, I sold popsicles. I was never ashamed, because it was a halal livelihood that could bring me to where I am today," said Khofifah.
In the commemoration of the 70th Harlah Muslimat NU held at Gajayana Stadium today, Saturday (26/3) to Sunday (27/3), the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo is planned to be present to open the event. The presence of the number one person in Indonesia clearly makes the 70th Harlah Muslimat NU in Malang City even more memorable. (cah/yon)
