After making the declaration, a signing was also carried out as proof of support for the rejection of drug abuse on a large billboard. The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) greatly appreciated what Muslimat NU had done. According to him, Muslimat NU and all communities must unite in eradicating drugs.

President Jokowi said that currently the country is in an emergency situation due to the threat of drugs, and every day there are around 30 to 50 people dying from drugs. "Muslimat (NU) who are also mothers, must play a big role in giving birth to a qualified generation of the nation. A mother must educate her children as well as possible, so that they do not get caught up in drug use or radicalism," he said, Saturday (26/3).

The former Governor of DKI Jakarta added that the family is the smallest component that can be maximized in suppressing all deviant actions. "A mother is the first and main school for the young generation of future successors to the nation. A mother must be able to filter and teach religious values from an early age to her children. Thus, our children will not be trapped in negative actions or actions," he explained.

"So far, Muslimat NU has played a big role well in the development and building of family morals. So it is not excessive if I give positive appreciation to the declaration of Laskar Antinarkoba. However, the big task and responsibility do not stop here, because in the future the challenges of the times will be increasingly complex. We hope that Muslimat NU will continue to fight through preaching and directly to the community," added President Jokowi.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of PP Muslimat NU, Khofifah Indar Parawansa said that so far her party has felt sad about various things that have happened in this country, such as acts of terrorism, radicalism and drug abuse. "Among those, the most severe consequences or impacts are drugs. Therefore, Muslimat NU declared this Laskar Antinarkoba," she explained.

After the declaration, he continued, Muslimat NU will continue to fight to uphold Islamic teachings and act enjoining good and forbidding evil, especially in suppressing drug abuse. "This program must get support from all parties, so that the results can be maximized," concluded Khofifah. (say/yon)
