For Malang City, the Malang City Branch Scout Movement under the command of Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani is optimistic that it can be the best at the national level and then advance to the international arena.

According to the woman who is familiarly called Umi Farida, based on last year's experience, there was one scout member who went to the United States. That's why this year's target is to exceed last year's achievement. "We are optimistic and believe in the children's abilities and the preparations that have been made as much as possible, so there must be scout members from Malang City who go to the international level," she explained.

"Previously we have coordinated with all elements in the scouting organization in Malang City to welcome this grand event. And the result, all parties are very supportive including the Mayor of Malang as the Head of the Branch Advisory Council (Kamabicab). On the other hand, the scout members participating event "We have also done intensive training," continued Umi Farida.

On the opening night, thousands of scouts were very enthusiastic and full of spirit. Especially when the Scout Ambassador who is also the vocalist of Setia Band, Charly van Houten came among them to sing his hits. The excitement of this event broke the darkness of the night and in an instant the Rampal field roared.

Umi Farida added that Malang City could actually send more than 4.000 scouts. But based on the request and existing quota, Malang City only had to send that number. "But that is not a significant problem for us, and the most important thing is that the ambassadors from Malang City can show their best. The support of various parties and the hard work of the scouts have become the basic capital in this competition, and then we all just have to pray to God Almighty to be given the best," she concluded.
