MCION Expected to Achieve SDG's Target

This event was organized by the Malang City Branch Leadership Council (DPC) of the Indonesian Nutritionists Association (Persagi) in collaboration with Brawijaya University, Malang Health Polytechnic, Malang City Health Office and Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang City.

The event took the theme 'MDG's' (Millennium Development Goals_ed) and SDG's (Sustainable Development Goals_ed): how to fill the gap' was also attended by Ibnu Fajar, SKM, M.Kes as the Head of the DPC Persagi Malang City.

The activity was attended by 97 participants from Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Kalimantan, Jakarta, Sulawesi, and Papua. Then from the distribution of participants based on institutions from the Hospital as many as 53 participants, academics 42 participants, Health Service 12 participants.

13 speakers from WHO (World Health Organization), academics, practitioners, and the Eijkman Institute Research Institute were also present at this seminar and workshop.

Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton said that through MCION 2016, it is hoped that it can become a medium for the dissemination of nutrition and health information and bridge and provide solutions to the emergence of various problems that occur in society.

"With efforts like this, it is hoped that we will be able to achieve the SDG's target, namely ensuring a healthy life and encouraging welfare for everyone in the world at all ages," added the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton, Thursday (14/4).

The Chairperson of the MCION 2016 Organizing Committee, Nia Novita Wirawan, M.Sc hopes that all participants can take part in this activity. full for two days, so that participants will get the greatest possible benefit from this activity.

"We want not only for ourselves, but also to increase our devotion to the community in solving nutritional problems in the community," Novita explained. (say/yon)
