Malang, MC – After a long time the relationship between the Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base (Lanud) and one of the large-scale media in Malang was less than harmonious, since Monday (25/4) the stiff atmosphere has changed to become fluid and full of warmth.

The media's visit to Abdulrachaman Saleh Air Base was a return visit to the previous one in April when Abd. Saleh Air Base was represented by the Head of Operations of Abd. Saleh Air Base, Col. Pnb. Fairlyanto and Kabinpotdirga, Lt. Col. Pnb Taufik Andriadi, who visited their office in Surabaya.
The visit to Abd. Saleh Air Base was received directly by the Commander of Abd. Saleh Air Base, Marsma TNI H. RM Djoko Senoputro, SE accompanied by the Head of Operations, Col. Pnb Fairliyanto, Head of Baseops, Lt. Col. Pnb Rohimad and other officials.
Meanwhile, 10 people from the mass media attended, including general managers, editors-in-chief, advertising managers, marketing managers, executive editors, editors-in-chief, reporters, and photographers.
Some interesting things to note in this visit besides the friendship are the agenda that was discussed regarding the possibility of increasing the status of Abd. Saleh Airport to an international airport. "It is possible that Abd. Saleh Airport will become international, but it must go through an in-depth study and meet the required standards. Because the requirements are so tough and cannot immediately claim to be an international airport," said Danlanud.
And what also needs to be noted, in building a new airport, our perspective should not only be on land, because the air which is the space for aircraft to move is also owned by someone else so we cannot just build buildings.
At the end, the mass media invited and asked the Abd. Saleh Air Force Base to enliven its anniversary which will be enlivened by pulling banners and various other activities. The mass media were also very enthusiastic if they would later cooperate in holding event national. "We must work together Commander, because the principle is that together we become stronger and bigger," said the media representative.
The warm meeting did not feel almost two hours and ended with the giving of souvenirs in the form of books and gifts from the mass media which was then closed with a group photo. (say/yon)
