Not only the TNI AU soldiers and their high-ranking officers, employees and the general public passing by were also stopped and checked. These drivers were asked to show their vehicle registration, SIM (Driving License_ed), and complete TNI AU attributes such as their identity cards and berets. Luggage such as bags and vehicle seats were also subject to inspection by officers.

Operations like this are always carried out by Lanud intensively so that soldiers remain disciplined and obedient to the regulations of the unit and the government. For soldiers who commit violations, they will be sanctioned according to the level of their mistakes without looking at their rank and position.

At least that is what was conveyed by the Commander of Abd. Saleh Malang Air Force Base, Marsma TNI H. RM. Djoko Senoputro, SE. He added that so far no soldiers have violated the rules, this means that they are carrying out their duties and obligations well. However, disciplinary operations like this will be carried out at all times, as well as to ensure the obedience and discipline of the TNI AU soldiers.

When asked whether the Indonesian Air Force is also anticipating drug abuse among the Indonesian Air Force, Danlanud confirmed that this will also be done. He explained that during this operation, carry-on items and luggage were also checked. "We don't want any soldiers to store and/or use those illicit goods," he said.

"In addition, we also conduct similar checks on residents who will enter Abd. Saleh Airport. We do not want to be caught out in the slightest, where prohibited goods can enter the Air Force Base and Airport at will. Apart from that, all TNI AU soldiers and the public in general should not be related to or use drugs, because the negative effects are very large," concluded Djoko. (say/yon)
