Sutiaji said that for the success of the Economic Census, his party has instructed all levels of the Malang City Government to assist in the implementation of the census. Both sub-district heads, village heads, RW, to the RT level to be able to assist census officers to make it easier to carry out their duties.
"The Economic Census is an important point for the sustainable development policy of Malang City," explained Sutiaji, Thursday (28/4).
He added, if the provision of data to census officers cannot be accounted for, in the future the results can certainly have a bad effect on society. However, if the data provided is accurate and correct, it can certainly be a good basis for decision making including for the Malang City Government.
Separately, the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Malang City, Muhammad Sarjan said that the Economic Census activities in Malang City will be carried out for a full month starting from 1-31 May 2016 with the number of officers deployed as many as 1.619 people. "Currently our preparations are very optimal, it remains how to carry out the task in the field," said Sarjan.
Economic Census Officers are not only given the ability to conduct data collection properly, but must also bring complete identification. Starting from ID cards, hats, vests and various other attributes so that people do not need to worry when their businesses are recorded. "All businesses are censused, both small and large, all are recorded," explained Sarjan.
He explained that the purpose of this (Economic Census) activity is to collect data on all business sectors in Malang City. The target of this activity is to obtain a complete picture of the non-agricultural economic structure.
