Türkiye, MC – Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton was the only mayor from Indonesia who was invited to the regional head meeting between countries at the forum 'The International Steering Committee of The Strong Cities Network' in Antalya City, Türkiye on May 11-12, 2016.
Initiated The Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD) which is based in England by forming Strong Cities Network (SCN), This event is a forum for sharing experiences, thoughts and best practice in each region related to steps to build internal strength in supporting the realization of peace.
As stated by the Mayor of Malang, often called Abah Anton, on the sidelines of the forum. He said that SCN is the first global network whose members are mayors, local leaders, and practitioners involved in developing community resilience.
"It is a matter of pride for the city of Malang, of course also for the people of East Java and also the Indonesian nation because of the recommendations and invitations given to the city of Malang," said Abah Anton, Wednesday (11/5).
So far, he said, Malang City is considered capable of establishing strong communication and resilience between formal leaders (Forpimda) and non-formal leaders.
"What is meant is through FKUB (Interfaith Harmony Forum), LPMK (Sub-district Community Empowerment Institution), Rector Forum, RT/RW Meeting Forum and the involvement of religious leaders in the process of governance and development," said Abah Anton.
