Lowokwaru, MC – Not only parents, teachers must also be able to become or be able to position themselves as friends, companions, and places to pour out thoughts related to learning. Never position yourself as a boss or commando so that students are not afraid. Thus, if there are problems experienced by students, they can be immediately detected and solutions can be found.

In addition, with the closeness between students and teachers and also parents, as well as to minimize the occurrence of violence against children that has recently been rampant. As parents, we must also have high vigilance by always monitoring our children so that they do not become victims of any crime.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection (KPA) Seto Mulyadi after becoming a resource person at a national seminar entitled 'The Role of Teacher Professionalism in Responding to Education Towards the Golden Generation' at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Tuesday (24/5).
On the other hand, continued the man who is familiarly called Kak Seto, teachers must have adequate competence, so that they can produce a young generation who will be the successors of the nation who are qualified.
In addition to increasing professionalism, he said, training can also be a refreshing event for educators, as well as to always update their knowledge. "Don't let a teacher not master a subject, because it will make students bored and lazy to learn," added Kak Seto.
Regarding violence or crimes against children, he explained, it can occur not only because of the deliberate factor of the perpetrator, but also sometimes because there is an opportunity to do it.
"From this situation, sometimes parents are sometimes not aware and ignore the calm situation. In this situation, it is as if we are giving space to criminals. Therefore, parents must be extra vigilant whenever and wherever," explained Kak Seto.
Furthermore, the bespectacled man reminded that one of the efforts that can be made to prevent violence and crimes against children is to form a special task force for child protection at the RT, RW, sub-district, district and school levels.
"Thus, it will narrow or even eliminate the space for perpetrators of criminal acts to carry out their actions," concluded Kak Seto. (say/yon)
