Malang, MC – The Indonesian Air Force donated two Marchetti SF.260 aircraft with registration number LK 2611. Commander of Abd. Saleh Malang Air Force Base Marsma TNI H. RM. Djoko Senoputro, SE representing the Indonesian Air Force explained that the Marchetti aircraft were a grant from the RSAF in 2002 totaling 18 units, Tuesday (31/5). These aircraft are used to increase pilots' flying hours in Indonesia.

The aircraft is a special trainer aircraft made in Italy, Aviamilano which is included in the type of light aircraft with a maximum weight of 1.102 kg and a capacity of three passengers. This aircraft is capable of flying at a maximum cruising speed of 330 km / h at an altitude of 10.000 feet. Marchetti in various countries is used as a trainer aircraft and some even use it as a combat trainer aircraft.
SMK Penerbangan itself currently has two aircraft units which are also grants from the Indonesian Air Force, while the Marchetti SF 260 is the first of this type so it is the third grant aircraft for SMK Penerbangan. The previous Marchetti type has also been granted to STTA Yogyakarta with the same type.
Currently, Aviation Vocational School has educated 460 students and is divided into two departments, namely airframe & Power Plan (AP) and majors Avionic Electrical Instrument (AEI). The Marchetti aircraft can still be operated on a limited basis and can be carried out Ground Run in a limited way too.
With the presence of this aircraft, Danlanud hopes that the achievements of SMK Penerbangan Angkasa Singosari Malang can continue to increase and output The resulting product will have competitiveness in an era of increasingly rapid technology.
