The activity is in order to follow up on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 027/1969/SJ dated April 2, 2013 concerning Maintaining Affordable Prices of Goods and Services in the Regions, as well as to maintain food stability and inflation to face the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1437 H.

The main targets of the activity are Pertamina Depot and Bulog's New Warehouse. This monitoring activity is intended to direct public expectations of the availability of basic necessities in Malang City to be very safe and sufficient ahead of the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1437 H.

"Through this monitoring, it can be ascertained that the supply of fuel and LPG for the people of Malang City is relatively safe until the end of Eid al-Fitr," said Sutiaji.

"However, from the results of the market operations carried out by Bulog, it is known that currently the public needs more availability of excess sugar than the availability of rice, because in the market the demand for rice is considered to be more stable than the soaring demand for sugar," he added later.

In this activity, Sutiaji also appealed to the public to buy basic necessities in sufficient quantities to maintain price stability and control inflation in Malang City. (say/yon)
