Bekraf's Efforts to Increase the Success of Pre-Start Up Indonesia

Just like running a business in general, a new business certainly requires innovative products and managerial skills, as well as various initiatives towards... startups which is increasingly widespread, a program is needed pre-start up which can help maximize the initiation, innovation, and creation processes up to the implementation readiness stage, so that it can prevent perpetrators pre-start up from the death valley period (valley of death).

For this reason, the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) presents Bekraf for Pre-Start up (Bekup) as a preparation program pre-start up in the application sub-sector, games, animation, design, and fashion. The stages of the Bekup program include talent development (talent development), preparation of the founders (founder preparation), and pre-incubation (pre incubation).

In the initial stage, Bekraf held Training of Trainers (TOT) for prospective mentors of the Bekup program from 14 regions in Indonesia. Through this TOT, mentors are prepared to be able to foster and guide the mentors. pre-start up in his area.

In conjunction with the launch of the Bekup program on June 3, 2016, Bekraf in collaboration with PT. Telkom Indonesia and the Indonesian Information and Communication Technology Creative Industry Society (MIKTI) held workshop Business Management. Workshop carried out simultaneously starting at ten Digital Innovation Lounge (DILO) throughout Indonesia (Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Denpasar, Medan, and Makassar) during June 2016 with a total of eight meetings.

The next stage is the preparation of the founders, followed by pre-incubation which will be held until the end of 2016. The target of this program is to produce 100 teams consisting of 1.200 talents who are ready to become startups.

For information, the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) is a Non-Ministerial Government Institution responsible for the creative economy. Currently, the Head of Bekraf is held by Triawan Munaf.
