Lowokwaru, MC – Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, Chairperson of TP PKK Malang City Hj. Dewi Farida Suryani, Regional Secretary of Malang City Ir. Cipto Wiyono, M.Si and several heads of SKPD in the Malang City Government attended the opening of the Religious Arts Festival and breaking the fast together at the East Java Cultural Park, Jl. Soekarno-Hatta Malang, Monday (6/6).

On the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton by the residents of Malang City, also directly reviewed the implementation of the Ramadan Market in the Suhat area (Jl. Soekarno-Hatta).
Abah Anton, in his speech said that the Ramadan Market is an activity that greatly supports the implementation of the Holy Month of Ramadan. According to him, the Ramadan Market is an effort to drive the community's economy.
"I hope the impact is not only for buyers, but also for sellers, so that it produces abundant fortune and blessings for all," said Abah Anton.
On this occasion, the PKB politician also emphasized that the Malang City Government always helps instill noble values in children so that they are not influenced by undesirable things.
The era of globalization, continued Abah Anton, has both positive and negative impacts, so that society is required to be smarter in choosing and sorting what is good and bad.
The congregational prayer movement that has been echoed by the government (Malang City) is certainly a positive thing. "This congregational prayer movement is very positive for the development of our children's lives in the future," added Abah Anton.
The Religious Festival Art Competition is not only a tourist event, but also provides a positive contribution rather than doing something in vain and to further pump up children's motivation so that they can meet shared expectations. "We also appeal to the Education Office (Malang City) so that students do not wear mini skirts," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Culture and Tourism Agency (Disbudpar), Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si said that the Religious Arts Festival will start on June 7, 2016 until June 11, 2016 which will be filled with several competitions such as children's Al-Quran tartil competition, teenage quiz competition, Al-Banjari art.
"Hopefully, with this festival, it can create creativity in addition to increasing their faith. Thus, it will produce a strong young generation," said Ida Ayu.
Takjil markets, he continued, are also in several other locations and are indeed supported in order to create a qualified and characterful religious tourism city. "On this occasion, we are also opening the Ramadan Village which is in five locations in each sub-district in Malang City," concluded Ida. (say/yon)
