Lowokwaru, MC – Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji, Malang City Police Chief AKBP Decky Hendarsono, and other related parties opened the 2016 Ramadan Festival held at the East Java Krida Budaya Park, Wednesday (15/6).

The event, which was filled with a lecture competition from young preachers, an Islamic music competition and patrol music, was attended by participants from various regions in East Java, such as Jombang, Jember, Ponorogo, Malang and Surabaya.
The little preachers with cute and adorable styles tried to preach to the community by raising the theme of traffic order on the highway. Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji in his speech said that this activity inspired children to excel in the field of preaching.
It was also explained that the theme of traffic order is very fitting with the vision of Malang City which will become a tourist transit city. According to him, polite behavior on the road can realize Malang City as a Dignified City.
"Malang City will emerge new talents that can be used as tourist attractions. Because if this is realized, then three areas, Malang City, Batu City and Malang Regency can become a tourist agenda with its own characteristics," he said.
Mass media, such as Jawa Pos, as one of the pillars of democracy, this media is able to present balanced and good information to the public.
"The presence of Jawa Pos can be a mediator and catalyst, both in the Malang City Forpimda, and other communities. Moreover, we have now entered the era of information and globalization," he said.
Meanwhile, Malang City Police Chief AKBP Decky Hendarsono said that this event is a very noble thing, because through this event, young preachers can emerge who can later become our shared pride.
"Hopefully all of these Islamic preachers and musicians can succeed at the national level. Currently, the role of social media is very large, therefore there must be good competition by utilizing it," said Decky
The police chief also reminded all children not to play with firecrackers, because besides being dangerous, it also violates the law. "In addition, mothers and fathers who will go home, the house that will be left must be locked properly," he said.
Not only that, people must be aware of street crimes such as pickpockets, snatchers and the like. The way to do this is by not luring criminals by not wearing excessive jewelry, bags that are easy to pickpocket, and so on.
"In addition, you must obey traffic rules, especially motorcyclists, don't forget to wear a helmet, don't just use a helmet because the distance is short, including a driver's license," he said.
Decky also hopes that the public will take advantage of Panic Button as part of efforts to prevent crime. "If there is a crime, please press Panic Button, my members will come in 10 minutes," he concluded. (say/yon)
