Lowokwaru, MC – A hue of happiness radiated from the faces of thousands of poor people and children who attended Baiduri Sepah Ballroom Cafe & Resto, Sunday (19/6). 18 thousand poor people and orphans from 57 sub-districts in five districts in Malang City received assistance from the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton.
Considering that the number of people receiving assistance is very large, the distribution of assistance is divided into three sessions, morning, afternoon and evening until the time to break the fast.
Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is often called, said there was no special intention behind the distribution of this assistance. He said that this was a routine activity as a form of gratitude from Abah Anton's extended family for the success of the business that has been carried out so far, and did not use any government budget at all.
"Before becoming the Mayor of Malang, during Ramadan I had distributed aid like this. I am very happy to be able to share," explained Abah Anton, Sunday (19/6).
With the distribution of this assistance, he continued, hopefully it can provide happiness for the poor and orphans and in the future they can get a better life. "I also hope that in the future the poor will no longer receive assistance, but can actually provide assistance," hoped Abah Anton.
The friendly man also advised the orphans not to be discouraged and easily give up. As he said, with hard work and prayer, he (Abah Anton) was able to prove that even though he had been an orphan since childhood, he was able to achieve success by becoming a businessman and is currently also serving as the Mayor of Malang.
"Hopefully what we convey can bring benefits, especially to orphans and the poor. Hopefully our efforts will always be blessed, progress and develop," concluded Abah Anton. (cah/yon)
