Lowokwaru, MC – Looking for the best solution to overcome energy and food problems, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FTP) of Brawijaya University Malang has a myriad of effective steps. One of them is by holding The 2nd International Conference on Food, Agriculture and Natural Resourcess 2016, Tuesday (2/8).
Speakers from various parts of the world, starting from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, Philippines, Japan, and Taiwan attended the event held at Widyaloka Building. In addition, various superior products were also exhibited at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Building, Tuesday (2/8) to Thursday (4/8).
Dean of FTP UB Dr. Ir. Sudarminto SY, M.Sc said that this activity is a scientific meeting place for experts from various countries to jointly find the best solutions to various energy and food problems. This conference is also one of FTP UB's efforts to further expand its network, not only in Indonesia but also abroad.
"Not only finding the best solutions for food and energy, from this activity we also want to build networks with various campuses abroad," explained Sudarminto, Tuesday (2/8).
Through this method, he continued, in the future it will be followed up with a program for exchanging lecturers and students, as well as joint research for scientific development.
It is hoped that with this international conference, scientific communication in the fields of food, agriculture, energy and the environment can be improved. And it can also introduce UKM products and innovations as well as innovations from FTP UB which are currently quite numerous.
Other benefits are introducing local potential including the diversity of local culinary food, culture, and tourism to the international world. Also recommending environmentally friendly food, agriculture and energy security strategies. (cah/yon)
