Starfruit, MC – The Indonesian Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) held a Socialization of the Formation of the Malang Patchwork & Quilting Creative Center Ecosystem at the Savana Malang Hotel, Monday (8/8). This activity was held because there are still open opportunities for patchwork craft businesses to be developed by the community.

Through creative hands, patchwork fabrics that have been considered less useful can be created into various artistic, attractive and economically valuable items. Even the results of these patchwork creations are priced at tens of millions of rupiah.
Bekraf's Director of Physical Infrastructure Facilitation, Selliane Halia Ishak, revealed that this training and outreach was deliberately held in Malang City because of the craft potential. patchwork and quilting still very good. "There are 50 participants in this training. They come from Malang Raya," explained Selliane, Monday (8/8).
Of the 50 participants currently taking part in the training, he continued, it will be seen who has good potential to develop. Those with potential will continue to be trained for the next three months so that they can truly become proficient.
"If the participants' products are good, in the future we just need to distribute them to the market, which is currently still good in Indonesia," explained Selliane.
He added, with a well-formed ecosystem, the hope is that in the future the creative economy will be able to grow an industry from upstream to downstream well. If that can happen, in the future it will certainly be very good to be able to develop the creative economy in Malang and Indonesia. (cah/yon)
