Starfruit, MC – The existence of Colorful Village in Jodipan Village and Three Dimensional Village (Tridi) in Kesatrian Village has attracted a lot of attention from tourists, especially young people from various regions. Previously, these two villages seemed shabby because of their location on the banks of the Brantas River.
Thanks to the idea of students from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) some time ago which received support from various parties, such as a paint company, the TNI and the Malang City Culture and Tourism Office (Disbudpar), the two villages were transformed into new tourist destinations.
Head of Disbudpar of Malang City, Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, SH, M.Si said that the two villages that became new tourist destinations were a blessing for the city. The reason is, Malang City does not have many tourist destinations, and with the presence of the two tourist villages, it will add new tourist destinations.
"In essence, we really support andsupport development of the two villages in the future. We will communicate with local residents to discuss what the residents need and what the residents should do with this new tourist village," said Ida, Monday (22/08).
Before the idea came from the students, Ida continued, the Disbudpar actually had a plan to create unique villages that could become tourist destinations and their existence would be maintained. "We don't just create a destination, because we have to wait for policies and budgets from Bappeda so that various programs have to be put on hold first," he explained.
However, Ida is grateful because there is a movement from students to create villages as tourist destinations. "With the existence of the Colorful Village and Three-Dimensional Village, it is hoped that it can become one of the alternative destinations for tourists who come to Malang City later. The two villages, at the same time, are to strengthen Branding Malang City with the title Beautiful Malang," concluded Ida. (say/yon)
