The postponement is applied to 169 regions with a value of Rp. 19.418.975.064.500,- and has been regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 125/PMK.07/2016 which was signed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Sri Mulyani Indrawati on August 16, 2016 in Jakarta.

For East Java Province, there are 20 regencies/cities including East Java Province that experienced delays in DAU transfers, including Bangkalan Regency, Blitar Regency, Bondowoso Regency, Jember Regency, Kediri Regency, Mojokerto Regency, Nganjuk Regency, Ngawi Regency, Pasuruan Regency, Ponorogo Regency, Sampang Regency, Sidoarjo Regency, Tuban Regency, Tulungagung Regency, Kediri City, Madiun City, Pasuruan City, Probolinggo City and Surabaya City.

Malang City is one of the cities that did not experience a delay in DAU, this is because Malang City can be said to be a city with orderly administration with a good absorption rate.

In PMK Article 1 paragraph (2) it states that the determination of the region and the amount of the postponement of the distribution of part of the General Allocation Fund as referred to is based on estimates of fiscal capacity, spending needs and cash balance positions in the region at the end of 2016, which are categorized as very high, high, quite high and moderate.

Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton or commonly called Abah Anton stated that Malang City should be grateful for the achievement. Where from year to year, Malang City continues to improve to organize the existing administration and maximize the absorption of funds that have been budgeted for development in Malang City.

"However, if this also happens to Malang City, we will continue to try to provide the best service to the community, especially in the context of the success of development in Malang City," said Abah Anton. (say/yon)
