Malang, MC – The Association of Air Force Retired Officers (PPAU) celebrated its 18th anniversary at the Cakrawala building of Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base, Malang, Wednesday (24/8). Under the leadership of Col. (Ret.) Zainal Abidin, PPAU has succeeded in becoming the only forum for Indonesian Air Force Retired Officers.

Danlanud Abd. Saleh in his speech said that PPAU has done a lot. He also hopes that in the future PPAU can be a driving force for retirees, especially to work in the community. Danlanud also expressed his desire that PPAU can contribute ideas for the progress of the Indonesian Air Force, especially Lanud Abd. Saleh.
Present at the event in addition to Danlanud Abd Saleh, also attended by Dan Depohar 30, Danwing 2 Lanud Abd. Saleh, the Heads of Departments, Head of Silpinawan (Retired Leadership Gathering) Bridjen TNI (Ret.) Sumarno, S.IP, Head of PPAD Malang City Lt. Col. (Ret.) Bambang Sugeng, Head of PPAD Malang Regency Col. (Ret.) Nasran Nasir, Head of LVRI Malang City Lt. Col. (Ret.) Dayat Suhendar, PP Polri Malang Regency AKBP (Ret.) Sudarno, and 600 PPAU extended families.
The Head of PPAU 06 Lanud Abd Saleh, Col. (Ret.) Zainal Abidin who read the speech of the Head of PPAU Pusat said, in its role, PPAU has become a dynamic organization and a social forum that cares most for retirees. From the past PPAU which only had two branches, namely in Jakarta and Bandung, now it has 30 branches in Indonesia.
PPAU must also strengthen faith, be able to build togetherness, care and have concern, and interact positively, both with each other and between institutions. The character of the TNI AU organization is friendly and intimate.
Various attractions were displayed, one of the most interesting was the reading of the PPAU Message Poem by Mrs. SW Soedjono. At her old age, supported by a stick and supported by her two friends, Mrs. Soedjono was able to memorize two pages of poetry without text containing a message addressed to her beloved TNI.
Oh TNI children, jewels of the heart, remain steadfast, tough, tough, agile with holy works and achievements. Rawe-rawe rantas malang-malang putung, jokes become determination, a spirit that remains attached. Arrange and close the ranks to guard the country tightly. Stand tall, practice Pancasila. That is a fragment of a poem by Mrs. SW Soedjono.
Danlanud Abd Saleh on this occasion also gave awards in the form of certificates and stipends for PPAU administrators, namely Captain (Ret.) Suhardjo and Mr. Taman who have continuously served PPAU for 18 years without stopping. (say/yon)
