Jambi (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City has finally been chosen to host the 2017 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI). The certainty of the appointment of Malang City as host was determined during the plenary meeting of the XNUMXth Apeksi National Conference (Munas) held at Abadi Hotel & Convention Center, Jambi, Thursday (28/7).

At the meeting chaired by the Mayor of Gorontalo, Marten Taha, and the secretary of the meeting who is also the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, the participants of the meeting agreed that the APEKSI National Working Meeting in 2017 would be held in Malang City.
The results of the plenary session also appointed Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton as a member of the supervisory board for the 2017-2020 term.
Responding to the appointment of Malang City as the host of the APEKSI National Working Meeting, the Mayor of Malang, who is familiarly called Abah Anton by his residents, admitted that he was proud because the city he leads was finally trusted to be the host.
"This is a source of pride for us, the Malang City Government, because we have been appointed as the host of the APEKSI National Working Meeting," said Abah Anton.
According to Abah Anton, the effort to invite several SKPDs to fly to Jambi was not in vain, because by learning and seeing the APEKSI V National Conference directly, the SKPD leaders within the Malang City Government could immediately make the best possible preparations.
"The big task of hosting the Apeksi National Conference awaits us. So the Malang City Government will immediately make the best possible preparations," added Abah Anton.
The role of Malang City in holding event national level is not in doubt, especially in 2015, it held the Apeksi IV Regional Coordination Meeting which was also very successful. This was added to the great success of being the host Indonesia Creative Cities Conference (ICCC) in 2016.
In terms of facilities and infrastructure, in Malang City there are currently 100 hotels with a total of 4.425 rooms. This condition is still supported by the presence of 198 restaurants and 508 eateries and 137 travel agencies.
Ease of access and connectivity to Malang City is also not in doubt because it is supported by the presence of Abdulrachman Saleh Airport in addition to bus and train transportation.
Not only that, the tourist attraction objects and heritage (heritage) in this Education City can be relied upon because based on data from the Department of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar), Malang City now has 53 artificial tours, 31 special interest tours, and 50 educational tours, plus many parks that are now starting to be enchanting.
