Inotek Malang City 2016 Award and Exhibition

Klojen, MC – The Malang City Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) held the 2016 Malang City Technology Innovation Awards and Exhibition (Inotek) at the Malang City Public Library and Regional Archives Office, Friday (2/9)

Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji, Regional Secretary of Malang City Dr. Idrus Achmad, M.Si, and heads of SKPD within the Malang City Government attended this event.

The Inotek Awards and Exhibition are held in order to provide recognition and high appreciation for the efforts made by the community in advancing research, development and application of science and technology.

"In addition, through this activity it is also expected to appreciate and motivate the community to increase attention to the importance of technological innovation excellence and human creativity, development and utilization of science and technology in economic activities and competitiveness as well as recognition of community achievements that have an impact on the welfare of the Malang City community," said the Head of Bappeda Malang City, Drs. Wasto, SH, MH in his speech.

The Inotek Competition, which is divided into four categories of innovation fields, namely agribusiness, energy, information and communication technology, and the environment, was assessed by a team of judges from representatives of universities in Malang City, namely Brawijaya University, Malang State University, and Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, expressed his hope that the implementation of the 2016 Malang City Inotek Competition can continue to be carried out sustainably in order to produce a creative and useful young generation that can produce, because we are now entering the era of the creative economy.

On this occasion, the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton by the residents of Malang City directly handed over the competition prizes with a total prize of Rp 60 million to the winners. (say/yon)
