Lowokwaru, MC – In order to accept new students at the Malangkuçeçwara College of Economics (STIE) or commonly known by the public as ABM (Akademi Bank Malang), the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton was present in the midst of the ABM new students on Tuesday (6/9) afternoon.
On that occasion, Abah Anton, the nickname of the Mayor of Malang, was also invited to tour the ABM campus with the Rector of STIE Malangkuçeçwara Drs. Bunyamin, MM. Ph.D.
In his speech, Abah Anton, apart from expressing his gratitude to ABM as an academic community that also played an active role in the development of Malang City, also provided motivation for new students on the campus located in Jl. Candi Kalasan Canal.
"Actually, the key to success is not only capital and infrastructure, but also arises from creativity that continues to be honed in the young generation," he said.
At the end of the event there was also a session on planting orchids which was greatly appreciated by Abah Anton, considering that planting orchids or other plants can make the surrounding environment more beautiful. He said that orchids are beautiful flowers and can last a long time in any condition.
"I really hope that the ABM campus can become an orchid campus, therefore orchid varieties must be increased, this also supports the Malang City Government program to increase the number of thematic villages, so it is not wrong if a thematic campus also appears," he added. (say/yon)
