Klojen, MC – Thousands of Muhammadiyah residents of Malang City have been arriving since morning and crowding the Gajayana Stadium area to perform Eid al-Adha prayers. In addition to being one of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, Eid al-Adha prayers in the Gajayana Stadium area have also been carried out by Muhammadiyah residents in Malang City for decades.

That was what was conveyed by one of the Muhammadiyah administrators of Malang City, Imam Supardi after the implementation of the Eid al-Adha prayer, Monday (12/9). Giving meaning to the holiday which is also often referred to as the Eid al-Adha, he hopes that Muslims, especially Muhammadiyah members, can organize more sacrificial animals.
"By organizing this sacrificial animal, in addition to being a sunnah teaching in Islam, it is also to help the poor. With the slaughter of sacrificial animals and the distribution of meat, it will also instill and foster an attitude of mutual tolerance in sharing between religious communities," added Imam.
He further said that Muhammadiyah members today, especially those in Malang City, will continue to develop Islamic brotherhood with all levels of society through preaching in mosques, prayer rooms and going directly to the community through various empowerment activities.
Separately, the Head of the Muhammadiyah Branch Management of Klojen District, Ustaz Hafidz who also acted as the preacher in the Eid al-Adha prayer said that Muslims should emulate the preaching delivered by Prophet Ibrahim AS at that time. "Preaching must be delivered politely, so that it does not cause new conflicts and is more relevant to society," he said.
For your information, in his sermon material, Ustaz Hafidz conveyed eight ways of preaching of Prophet Ibrahim AS, namely with gentleness, strong arguments, sufficient knowledge, understanding strategy, sincerity of heart, mental readiness, bil-Haal (preaching that prioritizes real actions_ed), and firmness of principle. These ways of preaching can be an example for Muslims today.
"With polite preaching, of course it will also increase Islamic brotherhood and harmony between religious communities. In Muhammadiyah itself, through the Muhammadiyah Mubaligh Corp (CMM), various preaching has been carried out routinely, both in places of worship and directly to the community," he continued.
