Klojen, MC – The Malang City Government received a working visit (kunker) from the Sorong Regency DPRD, West Papua Province, Wednesday (14/9). The group was received by the Assistant for Development Administration of the Malang City Secretariat, Ir. Budi Herwanto, MT in the Palapa Room, Malang City Hall.
The Sorong Regency delegation was led by Sarsito, SE, Secretary of Commission III of the Sorong Regency DPRD, and was attended by representatives from the Department of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Department of Public Works and Bappeda.
Ir. Budi Herwanto, MT delivered the speech of the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton expressed his welcome and gratitude to the group of the Sorong Regency DPRD of Papua Province who had entrusted Malang City for the purpose of their working visit.
He explained that the vision of Malang City for 2013-2018 is to make Malang City a Dignified City, namely a city that is clean, prosperous, fair, tolerant, prominent, safe, cultured, beautiful, and orderly. The Malang City Government also always strives to provide excellent public services to the community.
"I hope that this (working visit) activity can help provide the necessary information with the hope that later some of it can be adopted and applied in the implementation of daily service duties so that it can support the creation of optimal performance in serving the community," said Budi.
Meanwhile, Sarsito, SE as the leader of the Sorong Regency group said that the purpose of this working visit was to see up close the success of development, especially in the fields of tourism and education that had been achieved by the Malang City Government.
According to him, Malang City has been focused on advancing tourism, education and others and with its many achievements. "With this working visit, hopefully there will be many benefits, good relations will be established, and Sorong Regency can be even more advanced," Sarsito hoped. (say/yon)
