Breadfruit, MC – An-Nissa Islamic Boarding School held a religious study attended by all its congregation at the Class IIA Sukun Penitentiary (Lapas) in Malang City, Friday (16/9). Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton as the mentor of An-Nissa Islamic Boarding School and Gus Wahid as the head of the Islamic boarding school were present on this occasion.
Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is familiarly called, provided motivation to the inmates to continue to participate in religious activities carried out by the Islamic boarding school in order to get closer to Allah SWT.
The Islamic boarding school, which was established in May 2016, was established in order to provide religious facilities to inmates in order to equip them with religious knowledge.
"I hope that through this activity, all inmates will also get positive activities during their days in prison," said Abah Anton.
Even as inmates, continued the PKB politician, all prison inmates must remain optimistic and be able to continue their lives in the midst of society well.
Furthermore, Abah Anton said, if necessary, these inmates can later become examples for other members of society. "While in prison, they have received various skills and knowledge, especially religious knowledge through this Islamic boarding school, so I think they should be examples," he said. (say/yon)
