Klojen, MC – Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton led the commemoration ceremony of the 33rd National Sports Day (Haornas) held at the Gajayana Stadium in Malang, Monday (19/9).

In this activity themed 'Let's Exercise for a Healthy and Productive Indonesia', certificates and medals were also presented as a form of appreciation and recognition to Malang City's athletes, including disabled athletes.
The Head of SMPLB Negeri Malang, Asmuin said that they are currently still waiting for the announcement regarding the schedule for the provincial level championship for the disabled. He said that being able to receive an award from the Mayor of Malang clearly increases the enthusiasm of disabled children in Malang City.
"I see our children are so happy now, this makes it easier for teachers and parents to encourage children to achieve," explained Asmuin, Monday (19/9).
He added, currently there are around 18 disabled athletes from Malang City who are prepared to appear in the East Java level championship. And to be able to perform optimally, since a long time ago Malang City athletes have made the best possible preparations.
"The children are currently in good condition, just waiting for information on the East Java championship to be held. The point is whenever they come down, the children are ready," said Asmuin.
Disabled athletes of Malang City have been prepared to appear in various sports, starting from 100-meter run, 200-meter, discus throw, shot put, badminton, and table tennis. From almost all branches competed in East Java level, Malang City already has athletes.
Separately, Malang City disabled athlete, M. Zaldi Febrian expressed his desire to immediately appear in the East Java Paralympic Championship. He is confident and very optimistic with the preparations he has made. "My specialty is in the 100-meter category. In this category I am optimistic that I can win," said Zaldi. (cah/yon)
