Klojen, MC – The 33rd National Sports Day (Haornas) commemoration at Gajayana Stadium felt special. In the Haornas commemoration attended directly by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton, various awards were presented, Monday (19/9).
The awards were given to the first place winner of the national team category for elderly fitness gymnastics, third place winner Speed Shooting Handgun/airsoftgun provincial level King Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X Cup at Yonif 403 WP Yogyakarta, Faizal Adi Nugroho (Team Bravo Malang), winner of traditional sports games throughout Malang City in 2016, second place winner of traditional sports stilts throughout East Java in Tuban 2016, Shandy Ribawa Kusuma, Mahardik Kristanto, Akhmad Sueb and winner of the 2016 disabled competition.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton appreciates the existence of activities like this that can foster a love and popularize sports in Malang City with the hope that the health level of the Malang City community will also increase.
"We want this activity to be a good event for the people of Malang City to actualize themselves," said the man who is familiarly called Abah Anton, Monday (19/9).
Head of the Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) of Malang City Drs. Nuzul Nurcahyono said that sports are very important for the people of Malang City to be healthier and more productive. "This activity was attended by 4.000 participants from the TNI/Polri, PNS, KONI and FORMI throughout Malang City as well as students," said Nuzul.
On this occasion, awards were also given to blind athletes in Malang City with the hope that it can further motivate the people of Malang City to be more advanced, healthy and developed.
Meanwhile, the Head of SMPLB Negeri Malang, Asmuin, admitted that he was very happy with the existence of activities like this. According to him, with the awards that were also given to disabled athletes in Malang City, they will be more confident. (cah/yon)
