Klojen, MC – Malang City has made a new history. Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton and Head of RW 23 Purwantoro Village, Blimbing District, Bambang Irianto were appointed as resource persons for mayors and regents throughout Indonesia because of the concept of Kampung Glintung Goes Green (3G) is considered by the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to be very innovative and worthy of being a national example.
Glintung is the name of a village in the Purwantoro Sub-district, Blimbing District, Malang City. Appreciation for the 3G Village was conveyed by the Director General of Regional Autonomy of the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, Dr. Soemarsono, MDM, who gave special attention to the development of the 3G village.
The Ministry of Home Affairs assessed that the development of the village was participatory and very worthy of being a reference for regional heads throughout Indonesia. "The concept of the development of the 3G Village based on participatory is very worthy of being an example," said Soemarsono, Saturday (24/9)
It was also reported that in the near future a team from the Directorate General of Regional Autonomy of the Ministry of Home Affairs will visit Kampung 3G to see firsthand the environmentally friendly village that involves community participation.
Responding to this, the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton, greatly appreciated the 3G Village, the noble innovation of the Head of RW 23 Purwantoro, Bambang Irianto, who was able to inspire community leaders (RT and RW), community leaders, academics, and government figures.
"Great work deserves positive appreciation, because it is an example of a model of empowerment and concern for residents towards their environment. Therefore, the spirit of residents must be maintained," said Abah Anton, the nickname of the Mayor of Malang, Saturday (24/9).
The success of Kampung 3G in the national arena is real evidence that a good environment can educate and grow the potential of the community, such as social potential in the form of harmony between residents and concern for the environment. As well as economic potential, namely the results of village products in the form of organic vegetables.
"Of course, Kampung 3G is a real example of how the ideas of the people of Malang City are very innovative and recognized," he added.
Abah Anton does have a unique way of advancing Malang City. When many other areas still use the paradigm top down namely the government program is run by the community, in fact Abah Anton chose the paradigm bottom up, namely exploring the ideas and creativity of the community to be used as a government program, and the results are optimal and successful.
"If the program is from the community, then they will be serious about implementing it. It's different when the program is from the government to the community," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of RW 23 Purwantoro, Bambang Irianto, admitted that he and Abah Anton would be resource persons for all regional heads throughout Indonesia. "Abah Anton and I will be resource persons in the National Coordination Meeting of Mayors and Regents throughout Indonesia," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Malang City Drs. Wasto, SH, MH emphasized that if an RW head becomes a resource person for regents and mayors throughout Indonesia, it is a new history.
"Malang Mayor Abah Anton and the RW head as resource persons is a new history, it is difficult to formulate a sentence for this proud achievement," said Wasto.
He added that efforts to grow thematic villages by exploring concepts and ideas from the community continue to be carried out through the Malang Design Festival program. "Hopefully with the festival, thematic villages will grow in 57 sub-districts throughout Malang City," he hoped. (say/yon)
