The Mayor, who is familiarly called Abah Anton, along with his staff inspected the Bawang Bridge, which is a bridge connecting Tlogomas Village with Tunggulwulung Village after receiving reports from the public about the bridge being quite badly damaged and could have an impact on the public as users of the bridge facilities.

"After we checked. The information is true, in one or two weeks the Malang City Government will repair the Bawang Bridge," said Abah Anton, Monday (26/9).

Regarding the existence of the Karuman Site which is also located near the Bawang Bridge which has the potential to become a tourist attraction, Abah Anton said that he would immediately conduct a study so that the Karuman Site which is located near the Brantas River which has several artesian water sources can be raised like the Colorful Village.

The Karuman site is a village shrine that contains fragments of statues, namely Yoni, the Nandi bull, and several pseudo-lingga which are now used as tombstones. The Karuman site is thought to have been used by the community since the 8th century during the Kanjuruhan Kingdom until the Majapahit era.

The head of the Tlogomas Village Tourism Awareness group, Imam Musyafak, said that the Karuman Site is a historical site in Malang City that has existed since the Kanjuruhan Kingdom. According to him, this site holds extraordinary wealth.

"If the government wants to support, this site can become a natural history tourism site. Because so far many people still do not know," explained Imam.

With attractive packaging and a little polish, the Karuman Site will have a very high selling value and can attract tourists. Now the community just needs to continue to preserve and publicize so that this site can become a world-class tourist destination. (cah/yon)
