Lowokwaru, MC – The Annual Work Program of the Electrical Workshop of Malang State University, namely the Line Tracer Design & Contest (LTDC) UM 2016, received special attention from the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Drs. Sutiaji. The number two person in the ranks of the Malang City Government directly opened the speed contest and robot design contest line tracer (line tracing robot) themed Futuristic Glowin' Up The Battle which intitle at the UM Cultural Center Building, Wednesday (28/9).

The head of the organizing committee of LTDC UM 2016, Nuris Soba, said that LTDC is an annual agenda of the UM Electrical Engineering Department as a forum for students, junior high school students, and senior high school/vocational high school students throughout Indonesia to be creative.
"We also held this championship to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UM Faculty of Engineering and the 62nd Dies Natalis of UM," said Nuris, Wednesday (28/9).
He added that LTDC UM 2016 is the seventh event. With the consistency of this event, it is hoped that the quality of the championship and its implementation will also increase.
Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji appreciates what the UM Electrical Engineering Department has done with its routine agenda. According to him, this event is very important as a forum to accommodate the creativity of young people in the field of robotics which is currently growing.
"Being able to hold the championship consistently is something good. Hopefully this championship can bring greater benefits, both for UM, the community and the nation and state," Sutiaji hoped.
Along with the progress of the current era, the need for smart and sophisticated robots is clearly increasing. If this condition/opportunity can be captured well, of course it will be a good market to accommodate the creativity of young people who are always extraordinary. (cah/yon)
