Klojen, MC – In order to commemorate the Islamic New Year 1438 Hijri, the Muharram 1438 H Parade with the theme 'Muslims Unite, Uphold Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Mungkar in the Framework of the Republic of Indonesia Based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution' was held, Sunday (2/10).
Participants in this parade are estimated to reach more than 50 thousand participants from all TK/RA/TA/BA, SD/MI, SMP/MTs, SMA/MA/SMK, both public and private, Islamic Boarding Schools, Madrasah Diniyah, and NU & Muhammadiyah Community Organizations in Malang City.
This activity aims to establish friendship, unity and togetherness to increase internal solidarity among Muslims in the city of Malang, strengthen the upholding of amar makruf nahi mungkar in order to realize a Dignified City of Malang and strengthen the commitment to maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
The parade route starts from Malang City Hall towards Jl. Kahuripan then towards Jl. KH Hasyim Asy'ari, Jl. Majapahit and then finishes at Malang City Square.
Malang Mayor H. Moch. Anton said that the Muharam 1438 Hijri Parade was held with the aim of directing and inviting the wider community to goodness by reflecting Islamic teachings in social life, glorifying Islamic teachings, developing Islamic preaching creativity, providing a positive art medium for the community, and informing Islamic values to the community through Islamic art creations.
"Of course, this good cooperation between the Ministry of Religion Office (Malang City), NU and Muhammadiyah organizations is a joint strength for Malang City," said Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is often called.
In this activity, the Declaration of the United Muslim Community was also read, upholding amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar in the framework of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution by Ir. H. Baroni MM who is the Secretary of the MUI of Malang City and accompanied by the Ministry of Religion of Malang City, the Malang City Government, the Malang City DPRD and representatives of Islamic mass organizations.
The event continued with a prayer reading by the Chairman of the MUI of Malang City, KH. M. Baidowi Muslich and then the release of the participants of the Muharam Parade 1438 H Malang City by Abah Anton. (say/yon)
