This time the Malang City Government handed over agricultural machinery (alsintan) assistance to the combined farmer groups (gapoktan) and poktan in four sub-districts in Malang City, Monday (3/10).

The aid was symbolically handed over by the Mayor of Malang, H. Moch. Anton during the morning assembly held in the front yard of Malang City Hall.
Abah Anton, as the Mayor of Malang is familiarly called, said that even though the amount of agricultural land in Malang City is currently decreasing, the government (of Malang City) remains serious about empowering farmers.
"With this assistance, we hope that even though the land is getting narrower, farmers in Malang City can still exist. Don't let the existing rice fields turn into concrete buildings," hoped Abah Anton, Monday (3/10).
Not only providing assistance in the form of agricultural machinery, the Malang City Government also provides assistance in the form of seeds, agricultural processing technology, and others. This assistance is expected to increase food security in Malang City and the existing land continues to exist to supply the needs of the community.
This time, the agricultural machinery assistance was given to seven farmer groups. Namely, Unggul Makmur Farmer Group in Cemoro Kandang Village and Sri Murni Farmer Group in Kebonsari Village, which received one unit each. combine harvester (rice harvesting tool).
