Klojen,MC – After three months of training in utilizing scrap fabric, participants in the Creative Center Ecosystem Formation Facilitation program patchwork fabric and quilting increasingly proficient. The participants who come from various regions in Malang Raya are also ready to showcase their creative works.
Training instructor, Wien Wardana expressed his pleasure with the high enthusiasm of the training participants in Malang. According to him, the participants followed well and seriously when receiving guidance from instructors, both instructors from the center and local instructors.
"The participants' works are all good. The plan is that tomorrow, Thursday (5/10), we will exhibit the participants' works at the Aria Gajayana Hotel," Wednesday (5/10).
Wien said, compared to the first time, the participants' abilities have clearly developed rapidly. The seriousness of the participants in participating in the activity also deserves appreciation.
"From the 50 participants who have been following the activity since the beginning, currently 48 participants are still serious about following it. This is very good for the prospects of developing the craft ecosystem. patchwork in Malang," said Wien.
He added that the opportunity to pursue this business is still very open, therefore, apart from providing participants with the method of making patchwork manually without the help of machines, now participants are also trained to be skilled and agile in using machines so that the manufacturing process can be faster.
Director of Physical Infrastructure Facilitation of Bekraf (Creative Economy Agency) Selliane Halia Ishak said, with a creative touch, patchwork fabrics that are looked down upon can be made into various interesting creations that are very valuable economically. "We will continue to train the training participants so that they are truly proficient in making patchwork crafts," said Selliane.
Currently in Indonesia the craft market patchwork still wide open and good. The potential of the participants (in Malang) as stated by Selliane is already good, in the future it is just a matter of how to channel their creations to the market. (cah/yon)
