Klojen, MC – The increasing number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in East Java that have proven to be resilient in the face of economic crises received special appreciation on the 71st Anniversary of East Java Province. Taking the theme "With the Spirit of Real Work, Let's Establish East Java as an MSME-Based Industrial Province", the Ceremony to Commemorate the 71st Anniversary of East Java Province in 2016 was held in the yard of Malang City Hall, Wednesday (12/10).
The ceremony was led by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji and attended by the Malang Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), DPRD members, SKPD Heads, and State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Malang City Government.
In the speech of the Governor of East Java read by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, it was conveyed that the most important wisdom of commemorating the Anniversary of East Java Province is as a form of expression of gratitude. The historical journey of East Java is so full of dynamics that it can finally achieve progress for better people's welfare.
"Apart from the progress of MSMEs, a stable and conducive political space is the momentum to enter ASEAN regionalization, namely the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)," he said.
East Java has become a leading fighter in the first year of the ASEAN free market era in 2016, marked by the East Java-ASEAN trade surplus in the first semester of 2016 which reached USD 1.160,53 million. And only in the period of 2016 the East Java-Singapore trade surplus reached USD 112,89 million.
The diversity of MSMEs provides an economic construction that is correlative between consumption, MSME production and the factors that form it. Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) dominated by the MSME segment which is expected to be able to realize the inclusiveness of East Java's economic development for better welfare and justice.
