BNN Socializes the Dangers of Drugs Through Cultural Arts Performances

Klojen, MC – The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) continues to educate the public, especially students, about the dangers of drug abuse (narcotics and dangerous drugs/materials_ed). This time through the Cultural Arts Performance and Opening of the 2016 Student Arts Week held at the Skodam V Brawijaya Hall in collaboration with the Malang City Education Office, Tuesday (18/10).

Head of BNN East Java Province, Brigadier General Pol. Drs. Amrin Remico, MM revealed that this activity was to commemorate Anti-Drug Day and Youth Pledge Day. According to him, through the arts and culture week and the opening of student arts, it is hoped that students will have positive activities to avoid drug abuse.

"Activities like this must continue to be encouraged so that children have positive activities, so that they do not think at all about carrying out negative actions including drug abuse," explained Amrin, Tuesday (18/10).

Through cooperation with the Department of Education, government agencies, TNI/Polri, it is hoped that there will be synergy to jointly combat drug abuse so that in the future children can become a superior generation and can bring Indonesia to be better and more prosperous.

In addition to counseling materials from BNN, this activity also displayed various creations such as dance, painting, sculpture, and so on from students in Malang City from elementary to high school levels.

Regional Secretary of Malang City Dr. Drs. H. Idrus, M.Si conveyed his hope that the presence of BNN can further strengthen students' motivation to stay away from drugs. This is very much in line with Malang City's commitment to continue to eradicate and combat the dangers of drug abuse.

"We hope that this activity can be a driving force against drug abuse in schools to prevent students from the dangers of drugs," explained Idrus.

He added that arts and culture activities like this are very good as a medium for socializing the prevention of drug abuse and distribution. It is also a creative event that is useful for fostering the interests and talents of students who excel at school, especially in the fields of art and culture. (cah/yon)
