Klojen, MC – The Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD) of Malang City held a Socialization of the Mental Revolution of State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in 2016 in the Meeting Room of Malang City Hall, Monday (14/11). The activity was officially opened by the Mayor of Malang H. Moch. Anton and attended by 125 participants from the Head of SKPD, sub-district heads and village heads within the Malang City Government. Also present at the event were the Deputy Mayor of Malang Drs. Sutiaji and the Regional Secretary of Malang City Dr. Idrus, M.Si.
Head of BKD Malang City, Drs. Subkhan conveyed the purpose of holding the 2016 ASN Mental Revolution Socialization, including to re-establish the values of work ethic integrity and mutual cooperation needed by ASN in order to create a clean and accountable bureaucracy, as well as to change the perspective, thinking, attitude and behavior as well as the way ASN works to realize a sovereign, independent and individual Indonesia, especially in the Malang City Government.
"Based on the mandate of the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform, on this occasion we created 1.050 pocket books of the ASN Mental Revolution and distributed them to structural positions in the Malang City government," said Subkhan.
The ASN Pocket Book is creatively packaged in the form of a mini comic whose contents cover eight areas of bureaucratic reform change, namely the mentality of the apparatus, institutions, governance, human resources of the apparatus, accountability, supervision, laws and regulations and public services.
In his speech, the Mayor of Malang said that the mental revolution is an important agenda of the Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla Government. The form of the mental revolution that is implemented is in the form of reforms that touch on paradigms, mindset and culture in the context of nation building.
The existence of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2014 concerning State Civil Apparatus is expected to be able to improve government management that is oriented towards public services, because ASN is not oriented towards serving superiors, but rather serving the community.
"Through this socialization activity, I hope that later the participants will gain knowledge and understanding related to the values of the mental revolution, namely integrity, work ethic and mutual cooperation, so that in the future ASN will be able to regain trust from the community as well as become an example and role model in carrying out integrity with honest behavior, trustworthy, anti-giving and receiving bribes.
